on the highway
in front of us

We stop
small town
welcomes with bad food
and expensive gas
a souvenir shop
promising just
the right
bumper sticker

gassed up
a bag of chips
and a bad cup
of coffee
the road is
straight ahead of us
non stop
from Seattle
to Boston
